Statement by Miguel Mario DÃaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic of Cuba at the thirty first Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly in response to the Covid-19 pandemic
The call was announced on Wednesday during a political act on occasion of the 60th anniversary of the system of Party schools, attended by President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

On the evening of Saturday, November 28, 2020, the Director General in charge of the United States at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Fernández de CossÃo, summoned the United States Chargé d’Affaires Timothy Zúñiga-Brown, to whom he conveyed that Cuba does not allow the United States, or any state, to interfere in the country’s internal affairs.
DÃaz-Canel shared an article in his tweet from the daily newspaper Granma, where he defends the island’s right to independence and good relations, but never under the logic of threat, coercion or blackmail.
